Modest gowns by Allure Bridal

modestallure1.jpgAllure Bridal is the first site I’ve noticed with a bridal gown category of “modest”. Since I’m quite traditional in believing that a wedding (particularly a church wedding) isn’t quite the place to be letting it all hang out, I loved almost all the dresses in the “modest” range.

I love the classic simplicity of this dress – M341 – it reminds me of something Jane Powell or Doris Day would have worn to marry Howard Keel (yes, I’ve been watching old afternoon movies…).

I’m pretty disappointed with this collection – the tops are all the same cut. Why can’t a “modest” design collection have some variety? It’s like they just took dresses they already had in their collection and just put the same neckline/sleeve design on them instead.
