When I clapped eyes upon this dress, I’m not ashamed to say I went a bit funny. Having described my dream wedding dress on many occasions, I was more than aghast to see it before my eyes and looking better than I could imagine. Even though I’m not engaged, my boyfriend bravely didn’t do a runner when I told him, and I couldn’t go without sharing it with you lovely readers.

Made from ivory duchess satin, this halter shape is Vivien of Holloway’s trademark dress, vamped up for brides. I adore the full skirt and genuine fifties bullet shape in the bodice. Fully lined and boned, this dress is an absolute bargain in my eyes, at just £85. Just don’t forget the red lipstick!

I agree and actually wore this very dress for my wedding! I had the halterneck at the top altered slightly and had a large bow going round the waist and fastening at the back to fit in with the black and white sceme i had. I felt like a million dollars! Never fails to make me smile when i see it hanging in my wardrobe! 🙂 x
