When you’ve got a wild side, only a wild wedding will do. Head to the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust in Jersey and there’s 32 acres with 130 species from amphibians and reptiles, gorillas and gibbons to meerkats. Couples can hire the boardroom of Durrell’s 18th century manor house for civil ceremonies plus there’s a courtyard and two lawned areas all available for reception hire. The lawned areas can accommodate marquees too.

Packages are available for a ceremony, a reception or both and prices start from £550 to include guest entrance fees to Durrell and a private area for both pre-dinner and post-ceremony celebratory drinks.
