I’m sorry to keep going on about place settings, but when I find really creative ideas, I can’t help sharing them!

This one – basically a name stuck to a pear – is easy and environmentally friendly, but really charming, don’t you think? I doesn’t have to be a pear, any soft-skinned fruit that stands up (or doesn’t – banana, anyone?) would work.

This one is arguably even easier, but certainly more expensive. If you were determined to do this, you could, I’m sure, pick up old Scrabble sets in charity shops, etc.
