Frock horror #161: Ride ‘em, cowgirl

I’ve seen some really rather impressive exmples of 70s-style, hippie chic wedding dresses lately, but you’ve guessed it – this is not one of them. Whatever Martin McCrea was thinking when he designed Style no. 381 – Sonoran Star, I’ve got to admit it’s lost on me, as I don’t associate cowboy hats, white boots or lashings of arm lace with bridal style.

While this certainly isn’t the look for me, I do know some people who would totally rock this dress.

Martin McCrea is a woman designer based in Tucson, AZ. Perhaps you should visit her website to understand the style of clothes she designs. For many women who live in the SouthWest or West, a western theme wedding is not uncommon. Also, if one has an outdoor wedding, the hat could be beneficial to keep the hot sun off ones head.
