Roses are in full bloom on the catwalk this season, and even more of a feature in bridalwear. Whether or not you want floral motifs on your dress, the look can be set of beautifully with a rose ornament on your feet, and there’s a huge choice of styles out there at the moment that would work well for brides, guests and bridesmaids alike.
My favourites are the monochrome designs with juicy, plump flowers made from plastic or perspex; perfect for giving an outfit a touch of modish class. Karen Millen (top right) have the look spot on, with a slimlined shoe shape that contrast beautifully with the giant bloom. At £135 it isn’t the cheapest of the selection, but it’s certainly the most striking.

Moda in Pelle’s sequinned rose-detail ‘Jazz’ shoe is another definite winner, and will go on sale at £80 later in the season as part of the label’s A/W 90/10 range. Bertie’s nude courts are beautifully sculpted, and on sale at a reduced price of £55. A more casual, summery take on the look is provided by Schuh, whose ‘Blossom Rose’ sandals are £20. [Via Shoewawa]
