The 105-metre high Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, Hampshire has just been a license to hold civil ceremonies. Meaning couples planning to tie the knot in 2009-2010 can now book for their big day.

The platform includes views over the Solent to the Isle of Wight and across the city’s historic dockyard which is home to Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory.

And you and your guests can take in panoramic views stretching up to 23 miles while enjoying a champagne reception and canap├ęs.
