Bridal Trends SS2010: Little White Dresses

Brides to be who want to show off their legs, or just be a little bit different can rejoice, because this season it’s all about the Little White Wedding Dress.

Although these have been around for a good few years, and we’ve spoken about them alot, many highstreet designers have steered away from stocking these fearing traditional brides won’t even look twice.

However, it seems all of this is changing. This year Berketex Brides started stocking a few of these little lovlies, as did Debenhams. And of course they were all over the catwalk at last year’s SS2010 wedding shows.

If you’re not a regular reader let us tell you why we think these little dresses are perfect for your wedding (if your a loyal reader here’s a reminder.)

Firstly they are perfect for a Summer or Indian summer wedding as it means you don’t have to sweat and boil under layers of fabric, and of course that makes them perfect for a destination wedding too.

We also think they are perfect for wearing again after the big day either to a summer party or on holiday with a pair of flip flops. If you opt for a porous fabric such as satin these can also be dyed to any colour you like, meaning that LWD could soon become a LBD.
