We’ve been concentrating on giving you brides-to-be a range of hints and tips over the past few months, but sometimes that special piece of news lands into our inboxes that cannot be ignored.
So what’s got us all distracted from our normal tasks? The news that Fontwell Park Racecourse will be hosting weddings from this summer.
We’ve heard of football weddings, zoo ceremonies and even weddings in caves but we don’t think we’ve ever heard about a racecourse wedding.
Fontwell Park’s new Grandstand, will be the venue for both weddings and receptions all year round, and the Park is fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies.
Set in 65 acres of stunning countryside, the venue offers private gardens for scenic photos, a luxury marquee and the beautiful Fontwell House. The grandstand main suite hosts up to 300 friends and family and gives a panoramic view of the Park.
From a traditional sit-down three course meal to an informal standing summer barbeque, Fontwell Park caters for all your individual requests and makes sure your special day is entirely bespoke to you.
Phil Bell, general manager at Fontwell Park, said: “We are extremely pleased with the way the grandstand is shaping up so far. We already have a wonderful venue for weddings with Fontwell House proving very popular with couples. The new Grandstand will give us a superb new facility for ceremonies and receptions and will only enhance our reputation as a perfect wedding location.”
