In our last post we told you about how to make cupcakes as an alternative to a traditional wedding cake.

So keep in with the sweet and cake theme, but still dazzle you with dresses, we’ve decided that the gallery today will be meringue wedding dresses.

Although these were a big hit in the early 80s, may brides went off them in the late 90s opting for smaller slimmer styles that didn’t carry the stigma of a meringue wedding dress.

However, it seems as though they’ve made a comeback (although they aren’t as puffy as they were) with designers such as Ian Stuart, opting to include these in recent collections.
