Short wedding (or little white) dresses are becoming more and more popular as brides opt for either a 50s style wedding, or for something that will really make them stand out.

Many of these are also alot cheaper thn full length frocks, especially if you visit a hightstreet shop such as Berketex Brides or Losners or buy them off the rack at smart dress shops such as Coast.

Many brides are also opting for these as they have an element of recycling value. Not only can they be worn again to a summer event (if celebs can wear white there’s no reason why you can’t) and they can also be dyed to make maximum use of the frock.

We think they make perfect dresses for a summer garden wedding, beach wedding or even for second time around brides who want to look different on their second wedding day so it’s great some celebrities are channeling the trend, even if its not strictly for down the ailse.

Saoirse Ronan went for a 50s Burberry dress with ruffles while Kristen Stewart went for straight sparkly Channel. We found the best possible match for each of them.

Saoirse’s look-a-like frock is from Candy Anthony, while Kristen’s is from Amsale.
