We’ve covered a lot of celebrity awards events over here on Bridalwave and it’s not because we’re getting confused with our fashion and celebrity sister site ShinyStyle either.

In fact it’s because A-listers always decide to wear bridal inspired frocks to these events. First it was Kristen Stewart and the BAFTAs, then very recently Eva Longoria opted for this trend for the first day of the Cannes Film Festival 2010.

And now it seems another one has followed in her footsteps. For the You Will Meet a Dark Stranger premier at day 5 of the Cannes Film Festival Elsa Pataky donned a white ruffled fishtail dress, which would not look out of place on a blushing bride but do you think this dress was a step too far?
