Wedding dresses are expensive, especially when you consider that in most cases you’ll probably only wear them once. While many brides keep their frocks in the back of the cupboard many wouldn’t dream of wearing them out again, despite a few slipping them on for a spot of hoovering (yes, that’s a fact).

However, we’ve just heard of a great new venture to get those wedding frocks out of the wardrobe and into public while raising money for charity.

The National Wedding Show
has launched a new charity called Brides at Work to give you the chance to wear your frock to the office and raise money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.

Brides at Work Day takes place on Friday 17th September and isn’t biased against the decade your dress is from (we can’t wait to see those 80s frocks on the tube). However, if you don’t fancy facing those commuters you can lighten the load, instead opting for a tiara, veil or any other wedding accessory to show your support.

We think this is a great idea to raise money and show off that prized wedding frock.
