McQueen’s Sarah Burton to design Kate Middelton’s wedding dress

The Sunday Times is reporting that Alexander McQueen‘s protégé  and creative director of the label, Sarah Burton, is to design Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. The news is currently causing a stir on Twitter, but apparently McQueen’s press office is denying the story.

According to Clarence House, the newly launched official Royal Wedding website would be the first place to catch a glimpse of Kate’s – or Catherine – dress, so we’re confident they would also break the news about who the chosen designer is through the site.

That said, while we await for the Royal HQ to confirm or deny the claim, a dress from the House of McQueen would definitely add modern twist to what so far has seemed a very traditional wedding…

In the photo of the woman going into the Goring hotel, the belt is the same as the one Sarah Burton wears, and I think she turned her engagement ring around.
