If you’ve ever set foot in London on the day of a massive event you know the madness you’re getting yourself into.

This Friday, 29 April 2011, when Kate Middleton (erm we mean Catherine Middleton of course) and Prince William make their way to Westminster Abbey to say their vows before returning to Buckingham Palace for a royal kiss as newlyweds on the balcony, Central London will come to a standstill as people gather to catch a glimpse of the couple.

Our advice is to head to designated viewing spots early – the first spectator has already set up camp outside Westminster Abbey! Alternatively, stay well clear of central parts of the capital and plan your own celebratory party close to home. But how to get ready? With so many things to think about before the big day, GetJar, has kindly pulled together a list of the top ten free essential apps for Royal Wedding celebrations. We can’t promise your phone will pick up enough signal to power these apps, but they are well worth downloading to make sure festivities go smoothly.
