There is definitely something in the air as yet another celebrity has announce he’s to tie the knot.

Joining the likes of Kate Moss and Lily Allen, former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher has announced he’s to marry his girlfriend of 11 years Sara MacDonald on 18 June. The couple met in Ibiza over a decade ago and have finally set a date for their nuptials after deciding it was time to do the “romantic thing”.

Noel – who has sons Donovan, three, and Sonny, eight months with Sara – proposed to his girlfriend in October, getting down on one knee with an expensive engagement ring from an upmarket London jewellers.

A source revealed at the time: “Noel secretly asked Sara to marry him on her birthday last October. He’s not one for making a big scene. This is the man who kept his leather jacket on when his lad Donovan was born. They have been living like they were married for years anyway.

“He splashed out on a mega posh Solange Azagury-Partridge ring from a Bond Street jewellers. They are madly in love and spend all their time together without any bickering. They are a perfect match.”
