If pretty white dresses, girly pink roses and sparkly confetti aren’t really your thing and you’d rather get married in a less ‘traditional’ way perhaps being an anti-bride is your calling. Just in time for Halloween the story of anti-bride Ophelia’s wedding landed on our desk this morning and – to our delight – there were images too!
What does the anti-bride need? A red dress, lots of black lace, gothic make-up, silver jewellery, blood red roses, a devilish chocolate wedding cake…
A result of the imagination of make-up artist Joyce Connor from Brides and Beauty, the photos convey her liking of Hammer House of Horror and B movies, Gothic, Edwardian and quirky, and tell the story of love and heartbreak. Joyce teamed up with Ruby Weddings and Choccywoccydoodah to make it come to life, and if you want to see the story unfold further you can see it on Choccywoccydoodah’s TV show on The Good Food Channel this Thursday, 20th October, at 9pm.
