It might not be the most romantic of places, but for one couple this train journey from Euston station in London to Watford will be one they’ll never forget.
With the help of his choir, the Adam Street Singers, Adam King made this particular evening commute a bit more special. Adam you see had enlisted his choir to serenade his girlfriend Lucy Rogers with a rendition of Bill Wither’s Lovely Day.
One by one ‘ordinary commuters’ joined before walking up and down the aisle of the overground train as amused onlookers filmed the happening with their iPhones. Living in London you get quite used to strange things happening from time to time, and flash mobs are not uncommon these days. However it is not often you get to be involved in a marriage proposal.
At the end of the song, Adam King, a 34-year-old tailor, got down on one knee and asked Lucy, 25, to marry him.
Lucy said yes, the people cheered and the video… well it went viral.
