Weddings are normally just for family and friends – and the odd colleague that falls into either of the two before-mentioned categories. And as social media, especially Facebook, permeates our lives you might even have kept people up to date on your wedding plans on Facebook…

Malaysian badminton star Lee Chong Wei has taken it one step further. The Olympic silver medallist is offering his top 10 Facebook fans  invitations to his wedding. All you have to do is like his page and leave a comment on why you’d like to attend his nuptials. This smells of a publicity stunt… But we can’t also help to wonder if Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg missed a trick here when he married earlier this year? He could have upped his likes and engagement tenfold.
