We may still be licking our wedding dress wounds after our last piece of news, but London is fighting back when it comes to wedding dress shops.
British designer Bruce Oldfield, has just opened a new boutique store in London's Beauchamp Place, and we can't wait to pop in and see this designers creations.
Bruce, who created wedding frocks for Samantha Cameron, Queen Rania of Jordan, and Jemima Khan has said this store will be a "one-stop-shop" and include mother of the bride, bridesmaids, shoes and bags as well as the all important wedding dresses and accessories.
Visit the Bruce Oldfield website for more details and to book an appointment.
We're a bit envious of brides to be up in the North of England today.
We've just heard that vintage-inspired bridal boutique, The White Closet, is due to open next month in Manchester.
The store, which is situated in the boho district of West Didsbury, is said to be aimed at "more arsty, creative brides-to-be, who are after something a little bit different."
It is also said to stock dresses from a range of eras including fifties-inspired dresses to slinky Art Deco frocks. And if this wasn't enough, we're even greener with envy to hear that the store will be creating its own vintage line next year.
Lucky brides also get vintage afternoon tea with cupcakes and Champagne at appointments, we know where we'll be travelling to when we need a wedding dress.

Brides yearning for a Venetian style wedding, complete with that all important Gondola, may no longer need to travel to Italy.
Capesthorne Hall near Macclesfield has been revamped and is now offering couples to be the chance to get married in its new Pavilion.
As part of this, couples will be able to make full use of the venue's lakes, where newly-weds will have the opportunity to sail around the lake in a gondola serenaded by a gondolier prior to welcoming guests at their wedding reception.
They can also opt to have a masquerade ball as opposed to a traditional reception to tie in with the Venetian theme.
The venue is also launching a competition to find Capesthorne's Bride of the Year 2010, when the winner will receive a romantic Venetian style wedding package including a civil service in the Hall's 18th century Jacobean-style mansion or its Georgian Chapel.
More details about this to follow.
If you, or your hubby to be, are in the armed forces then you could be in with a fighting chance to win your wedding.
Chocolate fountain company Chocorococo has teamed up with charity Support Our Soldiers to give any serving member in the armed forces a free wedding including everything from the venue to the dress.
The competition, which can be entered by anyone in the army, navy, RAF and marines, is open to couples looking to get married this year or next year but who have not yet made any arrangements.
The lucky winners will have a £13,000 affair and the venue will be the prestigious Grade II listed Birmingham Council House Banqueting Suite. Wedding rings, a wedding gown worth up to £800, bridal accessories, men's suit hire, a three-tier wedding cake, a toastmaster, chocolate fountain, a piper, pianist, wedding stationery, chauffeured transport for both parties, bridal hair and make-up, attire for up to three bridesmaids, flowers and chair covers are also part of this fantastic prize.
If you think you deserve this wedding visit the Chocorococo website and fill in the short form, detailing why you deserve to win.
But hurry because the competition closes on the 30 October.
We weren't really shocked when we heard about this, but it confirmed what we always knew, brides to be always have the last say over their grooms when it comes to their special day, even with the cake.
Research by Cakes to your door has found that only 10% of grooms choose their wedding cake on their own (we told you it wasn't a revelation).
This compares with 30 per cent of women who organise the wedding cake themselves. The statistics also show that although 60 per cent of couples choose their wedding cake together, almost half organise it without their partners' input.
Kevin Slatter, co-owner at Cakes to Your Door said: "It's interesting that so few men get the task of organising the wedding cake themselves, yet our statistics also revealed that of those men that are involved in choosing the cake, a huge 80 per cent of them get to choose the cake filling with only 20 per cent of women getting the final say on this aspect; does this mean women are more concerned with the appearance of the cake and for men, it's taste that is more important?"
We know that when it comes to our day, we'll definitely be choosing the cake AND the filling on our own.
Yesterday we bought you saucy and today we're bringing you a sweet hen alternative.
The Landmark London hotel has decided to help brides to pile on the calories (for the record we think this is worth it) and introduced a chocolate themed afternoon tea.
The chocolate treats are served between 3pm and 6pm in the eight-storey, glass-roofed central atrium of the Winter Garden restaurant where you'll also be treated to sweet live music from a pianist or harpist and surrounded in exotic palm trees.
And if this isn't enough wait until you hear about the menu, which includes marble cupcakes, white chocolate and mint macaroons, chocolate choux buns, baked white chocolate cheesecake, and some chocolate nibbles too.
We think this day out is a bargain for £35 per person. Or £40 for brides that want a glass of Taittinger Champagne.
Visit the Landmark London Hotel website for more information and to book.
