Comments are back on Bridalwave!

Good news, folks: next time I pick a yucky wedding dress for ‘Daily Frock’, you won’t need to sit on your fingers any longer, as our comments feature is now up and running once again, after a long period of absence! To get the ball rolling, I’d particularly like your views on:

Please excuse this slight pause for New York Fashion Week

It’s true, your new editor is an American. And so, this week I’ll be a wee bit preoccupied running around New York Fashion Week for our fabulous fashion sites – CatwalkQueen in the UK and ShinyStyle in America. That’s not to say I’ll have forgotten you! Plenty of designers show wedding dresses in their collection and you know where they’ll be posted right away. Plus we’ll have trend reports for bridal fashion based on the collections and more fun tie-ins on how to have the most fashionable wedding ever. And don’t fear, our dear Abi and Hannah will still be here bringing you the best of bridal.

Allow me to introduce myself…

Hello fair Bridalwave readers! And congratulations! I can only assume you’ve recently become engaged or married, or been asked to participate in a bridal party, and I’m just so excited for you! And for me.

Why? Because as the new editor of Bridalwave I will hopefully have the opportunity to take some small part in your wedding planning. Whether it’s by helping you realize what style dresses you HATE through some fear-inducing Frock Horrors, or inspiring you to use a certain invitation or showing you a shoe you must have.

The picture at left is from my own wedding, November 16, 2002. That means that I’ve been involved in some sort of wedding planning since about 2000, since as you’ll see after the jump, I’ve been in someone’s wedding continually ever since.

Farewell from Camilla

This is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever written but I’m sorry to say it’s time for me to leave Bridalwave. It’s been a brilliant three years (has it really been that long?) and I now know far more than I ever thought I would know about weddings!

I’m going to be concentrating on new work challenges and spending more time with my children, especially my little boy who is 19 months old and has very patiently waited for me to finish up browsing wedding dresses day-in-day-out and searching for those frock horrors.

I wish you all the best for your 2009 weddings – and beyond! – and I can’t express how much I’ll miss you all! If you want to keep up with me, drop by my personal blog here and say hello.
