Jessie Wallace over the weekend, and now Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and her fiancé DJ Tom Crane have reportedly split. I didn’t see this coming; what is up with the British celebs not making it all the way down the aisle??
The couple – who were due to marry next year after getting engaged last New Year’s Eve after Tom popped the question while on holiday in the Maldives – are said to have called off their wedding plans after having a series of heated arguments. Over what you ask? Over Tom working in Ibiza over the summer while Sarah has been in the UK. Isn’t that just the nature of your relationship guys? You both work in industries that unfortunately will cause you to be apart from time to time.
An insider told The Sun (or was it just a phone hacking job?): “Sarah and Tom had a huge bust-up and told each other the wedding is off. Although they’ve always managed to patch things up in the past, it’s worse than anything they’ve gone through before. They’ve been fighting like cat and dog. Their relationship has been strained because he’s been in Ibiza for the summer and Sarah was working in Britain.”
The two have been dating since 2007 and Sarah is said to have flown out to the party island last week in a last attempt to rescue the relationship after the rows. Since the split the 29-year-old pop star has been seen partying for three days, refusing to answer her phone. That’s the best way to get over heartbreak really, just party the night away.
Will love win? We’re waiting patiently to see what comes next for Sarah and Tom.
When it was announced that Petra, the daughter of Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone, was to get married we all knew it would be a marvellous, no-expenses-spared shindig.
Petra married businessman James Stunt this weekend in an Italian castle in front of wedding guests that included Paris Hilton and Britain’s own princesses, Beatrice and Eugenie.
The f1 heiress looked like a picture perfect bride as she arrived to the Odescalchi castle, Bracciano lake, Italy in a white Rolls Royce to match her traditional white wedding dress.
Guests and onlookers were treated to a stunning firework display that lit up the Italian night sky to celebrate the nuptials and the newlyweds. But that wasn’t the end for those lucky enough to have been invited to the £5 million wedding; according to Dailymail.co.uk guests were also treated to an ‘elaborate performance which saw acrobats fly into the air to perform, hoisted up high by hot air balloons’ and a performance by Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas!
We love when brides just look effortlessly stylish, which Sofia Coppola did when she wed rocker beau Thomas Mars in her father’s newly renovated Italian palace.
The filmmaker daughter of director Francis Ford Coppola wore a knee-length soft lavender and white silk Azzedine Alaïa dress – Sofia and Alaïa are close friends and she was front row at his latest fashion show – that gathered at the neck and cinched at the waist.
The civil ceremony took place at her family’s historical villa, Palazzo Margherita, in the Southern Italian hamlet of Bernalda, hometown of Coppola’s grandparents. We’re getting a total Cinema Paradiso feel here.
Francis Ford Coppola walked his daughter down the aisle in front of the 80 guests, which included director George Lucas.
The wedding meal consisted of cheeses, figs, salads, pasta, fish and pork that were paired with wine from the family estate.
The official photos of Kim Kardashian have finally appeared in print! We’ve given you a preview Kim and Kris’ celebrity wedding, and here are the official wedding photographs that appear in this week’s People magazine.
Kim actually had no less than THREE wedding gowns designed by Vera Wang for her big day and her hair was inspired by Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor.
When Kim Kardashian married Kris Humphries in a lavish wedding ceremony last weekend she wore her hair in a classic chignon.
Her hair stylist Peter Savic has now revealed he wanted Kim to look like a glamorous film star of yesteryear – well it certainly went very well with the Old Hollywood wedding reception theme.
Savic said: “We wanted to make her an amazing movie star from the 40s, 50s or 60s like Sophia Loren or Ava Gardner or Elizabeth Taylor. She looked very polished. It was classic and tasteful yet exotic.”
Kim’s intricate chignon was also a one off and he had just created it that day. What, Kim had not tried the hairstyle before her actual wedding day?! And she didn’t go all Bridezilla on your ass? Impressive.
The reality TV star’s bridal look was completed by make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic who gave her a fresh-faced look for the evening wedding.
I guess Kim wanted to look like her photoshopped photos…
Supermodel Kate Moss and Jamie Hince make a fantastic couple and look amazing in their official wedding photos, taken by photographer Mario Testino.
The pictures appear in the September issue of American Vogue and see Kate and Jamie recreate Mick and Bianca Jagger’s famous 1971 backseat wedding portrait, Kate wearing a Tom Ford velvet and fur coat while Jamie is in a red velvet jacket by the same designer.
And the picture of the newlyweds in the English forest is absolutely stunning: the colours, the setting… just everything.
Kate’s daughter Lila Grace is also a couple of the photos.
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphires’ wedding last weekend was as lavish as Kim wanted it to be. I’m not sure she outdid Kate Middleton’s royal wedding, but the black and white theme certainly gave the wedding ceremony and reception a bit of the old-Hollywood feel. What else would you expect from someone who certainly considers herself to be part of America’s royalty?
We have to wait until October to see the full show on Kim’s wedding, but E! has released some teaser videos ahead of the ‘hottest TV party of the year’ Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event.
Still no sign of Kim’s rumoured second… and third wedding dress though.
Anyone else planning a black and white theme for their wedding?
It comes as no surprise that Kate Moss didn’t leave anything to chance when it came to her wedding to Jamie Hince last month, especially anything relating to her outfit. After all fashion is what she does.
Chosen shoe maker for her wedding day, and Sex and the City Carrie’s favourite, Manolo Blahnik has now revealed it too five tries to get the shoes perfect. “We did them five times to get them the way she wanted,” said Blahnik. “My workers are the best people. I wouldn’t be here without them.”
The legendary footwear designer created high-heeled sandals for the supermodel to wear with her John Galliano wedding dress. Blahnik continued: “The shoes arrived the day before and there were too many jewels on the heel because of the long train. So we had women working up until midnight to change it.”
Wonder if the Queen of Fashion would have said “off with his head” had the shoes not been to her liking in the end…
As has become customary with any large event Next Media Animation (you know that Taiwanese online animation news service) has put together a short clip on Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries. Just like they did with Kate and William, the new America royals (?) star in their very own animation. And what a Fairytale wedding it is… There is also some future gazing that includes a baby through a basketball hoop. You know, you just have to watch it.
Kim Kardashian is officially off the market. This weekend the reality TV star tied the knot with NBA star Kris Humphries in a no expenses spared ceremony in Montecito, California. E! had the exclusive pass to get behind the scenes at Kim and Kris’ big day (it came with a hefty price tag I’m sure), so courtesy of E! we can bring you images from the brunette’s wedding.
Kim wore a custom made ivory strapless wedding dress designed by family friend Vera Wang (helps to have one of the biggest names on speed dial), her hair was swept back in a sleek bun adorned with a diamond headpiece along with a veil.
The images show a beautiful Kim beaming with joy as she is about to exchange vows with Kris in front of the 450 wedding guests, which included Eva Longoria, Ryan Seacrest, Lindsay Lohan, Mel B, Venus and Serena Williams, Avril Lavigne and Demi Lovato.
More images below and check out this video for a glimpse at Kim’s wedding…
TV presenter Jenny Frost has only gone and married her fiancé Vicente ‘Vinnie’ Juan Spiteri at their home in Ibiza! And check out that sparkler on Jenny’s hand.
After a whirlwind romance Jenny wore a white lace Elie Saab wedding dress and veil as they exchanged rings, Daily Mail writes.
In a short – and we guess sweet – ceremony held in both Spanish and English (Vinnie is Spanish), wedding guests witnessed the couple tie the knot at their Balearic home at sunset.
Guests included Jenny’s close friend Davinia Taylor and former Atomic Kitten bandmate Natasha Hamilton.
Apparently reality TV star Kim Kardashian is so nervous about walking down the aisle this coming Saturday that she’s scared she might fall over and faint during the ceremony.
Sadly Kim’s biological father, Robert, passed away in 2003, but she’s got the next best thing in her mother Kris’ husband Bruce Jenner – who Kris has been married to since 1991.
The 30-year-old will marry basketball player Kris Humphries (ha just realised Kim’s fiancé and mum share first names) in a Vera Wang wedding dress and we expect Bruce to be there to steady Kim as she makes her way down the aisle.
What was/is your biggest fear ahead of your wedding day? And if anyone wants to share an ‘embarrassing’ story – did you trip on your dress? – please do so in the comments below.
We’ve all heard the term ‘bridezilla’ but how about a ‘groomzilla’?
According to Nikki Reed – who plays vampire Rosalie in the Twilight saga – her fiancé, American Idol finalist Paul McDonald, has taken over the preparations for their forthcoming nuptials.
Nikki revealed: “[Paul’]s doing a lot of it, he is. He’s, like, taking control. He sits with his computer in between songs and is kind of on a roll with everything.”
Right, have any of you got fiancés who have taken over the role as wedding planner?
Model Petra Nemcova has decided her slender figure will be dressed in a Marchesa gown for her wedding to actor Jamie Belman next summer and thinks it is “nice” to wear a creation by British designers Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman because she has worked with their label for so many years.
Petra told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “There are some things set in stone. The date, June 2012, is set, and it will be in England – because we both love England – and it will be in the countryside. And the dress will be designed by Marchesa. The relationship with Marchesa for me has been for many, many years, since they started, and it’s nice to be able to wear them on that special day. We still have one year to prepare so we are working on the other details.”
As well as planning her wedding, Petra has been throwing herself into working with her charity, the Happy Hearts Fund – which she set up after surviving the 2004 Asian tsunami in which her fiance Simon Atlee died – to improve the lives of children after natural disasters.
She said: “In five years we have built 51 schools and we have a presence in nine countries around the world.
“That’s our goal: to rebuild more schools and help rebuild more lives of children who were affected by natural disasters.”
Sofia Coppola and her fiancé Thomas Mars have set a date for their wedding!
The ‘Somewhere’ director will tie the knot with her long-term boyfriend on27 August 2011 at her father Francis Ford Coppola’s 19th century villa, Palazzo Margherita, in Bernalda, Italy.
The ‘Godfather’ director Ford Coppola is currently rebuilding and renovating the property for the nuptials and the ceremony will mark the end of the works. Speaking to WWD, Ford Coppola’s great-nephew Gaetano Russo said: “The ceremony will mark the end of renovations at the palace, which will soon be inaugurated as a resort, open to the public.”
The owner of Giardino Giamperduto, a luxurious guest house in the village, said they’re “already fully booked, and four of our 11 rooms have been reserved by people linked to the wedding. Even if Francis Ford Coppola and his daughter are superstars, they still remain our ‘paesani’ [compatriots] and we are proud of them.”
Sofia – who has two children Romy, four, and 14-month-old Cosima with Thomas – was previously married to fellow director Spike Jonze, who she divorced in 2003.
As Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kris Humphries draws closer details about their forthcoming nuptials are beginning to trickle into the public domain.
She must think of herself a princess as the latest news from Camp Kim reveals she’s planning a to have a wedding cake similar to that of Prince William and Kate Middleton had when they wed in London in April this year. No bonus points for originality then Kimmy.
The reality TV star is getting married to Kris on 20 August and it will be a lavish affair with a 10-tier white cake with chocolate chip icing and black-and-white decorations that the bride-to-be hopes will resemble the one Fiona Cairns designed for the royal wedding.
An insider told USmagazine.com: “Kim wants it to resemble Prince William and Duchess Kate’s!”
Kim who considers herself a bigger celebrity than Kate is reportedly planning the wedding of the century, which will be shown on TV in a two-hour special.
Kim hate to break the news to you but in all honesty we doubt Duchess Catherine knows who you are, let alone cares about what you’re doing for your wedding. You might have Vera Wang – whom we love – but Kate had a McQueen!
