Wedding planners aren’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for a planner with know-how where your civil partnership ceremony is concerned, then Embrace could be perfect for you.
In their own words, they aim to “take time to get to know you both, to understand what will make your day ‘Your’ day and ensure that with the careful and dedicated delivery of our services, we do the work and you do the fun.” Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? Thankfully, Embrace aren’t falling for the hackneyed ‘gay weddings must be camp’ rubbish either, offering a huge variety of services tailored to suit your needs. Check out their website for more information.

It may be a tall order to find somewhere in the sky to get married but head over to London’s Tower Bridge and you could be doing exactly that. The venue will be hosting Champagne Open Days on the 20th for wedding ceremonies and 21st October for couples considering civil partnerships and receptions.
The open days run from 11am to 4pm and will include visits to The Bridge Master’s Dining Room where intimate ceremonies and smaller receptions take place alongside a tour of parts of Tower Bridge used for larger evening receptions including the Victorian Engine Rooms and the high-level Walkways with panoramic views of London at night.

Civil Partnerships, Food and Drink, Wedding Cake

Now I know I keep going on about wedding cakes, but it’s only because I keep finding the most incredible wedding cake designers.
Rachel Mount held her first exhibition of cake sculpture in July 2006 at Sotheby’s Kiddell Gallery and her work has been selected for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2007, but more importantly (to us, probably not to her) just look at that cake! (I’ve already featured her Vintage 1950s handbag cakes on our sister site, The Bag Lady.)
Whether you’re looking for something traditional or non-traditional, check out her website, she’s even extended her portfolio to cover gay and lesbian weddings.
