Daily Frock: Tafetta belted dress by Watters bride

By Andrea Petrou on November 6th, 2009

Daily Frock Watters bride.jpgWe always get very excited around this time of year. The fashion shows are over and bridal designers start to put their concepts into mainstream designs and launch their styles for Autumn.

One example of the exciting dresses we’ve got to look forward to is this gorgeous taffeta number by Watters.

We love the way the strapless gown and pin tuck skirt are bought straight into 2009 with the beaded band across the waist, which is perfect for any bride worried about their figure as it tucks the waist right in. We can’t wait to see more of the designs for the year ahead.

Daily frock: Vintage lace lovely by Monique Lhuillier

By Andrea Petrou on November 5th, 2009

Daily Frock.jpgSince we’re on the subject of vintage wedding dresses, we couldn’t resist sharing this lace lovely with you.

The frock by Monique Lhuillier at Browns Bride, has a lace bustier with diamante clad straps and a ribbon around the middle, to give brides a slimmer looking waist. This is complemented by a plain sating A-line skirt, which we think is a perfect match to the busy bodice.

In fact, we love this dress so much we’ve put it on the top of our wedding dress list. Quite a compliment when you have a list as long as ours.

Ben Rob 1051.jpgBrides that don’t want to show off their shoulders or arms will love this dress by Benjamin Roberts.

The frock, which is made from soft organza, has a matching wrap, which is made to look like part of the dress as it clips onto the front with a silver clip, similar to the decoration of the dress.

However this, champagne dress is also perfect for brides looking for that something special. We love the lace up corset style at the back of this dress, which sits slightly off centre to give the frock a unique look.
