A pocket watch is by no means anything unusual in terms of wedding gifts and tokens, but one for the girls is hardly the norm. This cute piece of jewellery from Fred Flare combines a pocket watch and a necklace to give a whimsical gift that’s bound to be well received by the right girl.

I don’t think that the range of hearts available from Carol Cummins have any set task other than to be entirely decorative but here’s what I would do with these pretty polka dot hearts. I’d get matching tags (make your own?) and write or print the guest’s name then hang them on the back of chairs. Later on guests can take them home and use them as door hangers – the hearts are £5.50 each from the Autumn/Winter collection.

You’ll have to excuse me for putting up another art print two days in a row. I’m moving house soon and I’m obsessed with finding new art (not to mention dramatic monochrome cushions, Panton chairs and so much more). Still, we could all do with a little inspiration every day and this would pep me up.

After all the hard work you’ve put in to planning your wedding, it almost seems mean to throw all the details you plan to keep into an ordinary plastic box. If you want an alternative, this one is made from sturdy card and has separate compartments inside plus a frame on top for a wedding snap. I think it can do without the bow though – £26 at Store.
