Get the Look: Katie Holmes’ wedding lingerie

By admin on January 5th, 2007

Madamev We all know Mrs Tom Cruise was exclusively dressed by Armani for her wedding last, but one part of the wedding ensemble Georgio didn’t get his hands on was Katie’s smalls – well, I should think not, too!

Katie apparently bought this lovely (and rather innocent looking) short and camisole set from exclusive lingerie designer, Madame V, and also picked up a padded balconette bra and silk kimono for her honeymoon. The line won’t be available in the UK until March, so until then, look behind the jump to see how to get Katie’s wedding day look…

Nice Day for an Ebay Wedding?

By admin on October 9th, 2006

Agentprovocateur_3 Amber writes…

I know this probably falls firmly into the "too much information" category, but ever since Camilla wrote about this Agent Provocateur ‘Diva’ bridal corset, I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to find a more affordable version. The original isn’t on the Agent Provocateur website any more, and even when it was, at £230 it was just a little bit out of my bridal lingerie budget (and when I say "a little bit" I mean "a lot"). Could I find a cheap alternative, though? No, I could not.

Agent Provocateur Bridal Lingerie

By admin on August 17th, 2006

Agent_provocateurWho hasn’t heard of Agent Provocateur? Hands up! Ok, most of us know all about the purveyors of racy lingerie. For some reason I had never checked to see if they did bridal lingerie until today. They have several styles and look at this ‘Diva’ corset; with that divine shape is it any wonder that it is an AP classic? The ivory duchesse satin has front busk fastening, boning and back lacing – ‘Diva’ £235. The probably not work safe (oh the joys of working from home!) sale is also worth a visit to stock up on beautiful items.

Bombay Duck Honeymoon Underwear Bag

By admin on August 15th, 2006

Bombay_duck_bagI will freely hold my hand up and say I am absolutely obsessed with holidays at the moment. I can’t help it, it’s August and I want to be somewhere warm! Perhaps that is why I was in raptures when I spotted Bombay Duck’s satin embroidered underwear bag or maybe it was just because it is so pretty. It’s perfect for storing your smalls on your honeymoon and I’m sure you’ll take it for every weekend away and vacation too. It comes in pink or black (only black seems available at the moment) and is embroidered in a lingerie design too – £18 Satin Underwear Bag.

Lingerie sale at Figleaves.com

By admin on June 23rd, 2006

Cheeky_pants_1The word ‘sale’ calls me to me like chocolate to a wide-eyed child. Of course the words ‘free to you’ are my ultimate favourite but one can’t be too picky. Figleaves UK/ USA have launched their summer sale and there are more than a few treats to whet your whistle.

These pants emblazoned with ‘The Mrs’ and trimmed with grosgrain ribbon, by 2belles, aren’t in the sale (yet, boo!) but they are so cheeky I’m sure they’ll find a way to fall into your basket. Mrs boy shorts £21

Why a little forward planning makes sense… aka get a bra!

By admin on June 22nd, 2006

OopsA charming email dropped into my inbox last week. Normally I enjoy a chance to laugh at these circulars but I do feel a bit sorry for the bride here (and the photographer deserves a few stern words) who’s modesty I have covered. It is a good lesson in forward planning though.

If you are planning on throwing the bouquet or releasing doves (watch the poop) into the air and are wearing a strapless gown, do consider investing in some sturdy upholstery for your lady lumps otherwise your guests will never let you forget it and the vicar will pop his monocle.

Check out gorgeous boob furniture over at figleaves.com, figleaves.co.uk and bridal lingerie at Max Cleavage.

Bridal knickers – prepare to bare!

By admin on March 14th, 2006

FleurtKnickers, pants, briefs, duds… whatever you want to call them, swish lingerie is just fab! But it can be a nightmare to get right, especially if you want to avoid your guests twanging your bra strap and checking out your VPL as you sashay up the aisle.

But we found the very fab (and aptly named) knickersblog over the weekend and guess what lucky, lucky reader? Go on, guess!

Oh alright… they are running a bridal lingerie competition so hop over, say hi and enter for a chance to win one of three gorgeous sets from GlamourousAmorous, FleurT (my fave – on the left) or Uplifted Lingerie.

Good luck!
