Jeanine Payer ring

As the editor of Bridalwave’s book-obsessed sister site, Trashionista, I’m more than partial to literature inspired jewellery, but I thought this ring would be perfect for Bridalwave too. By Jeanine Payer, it’s a semi-rotating stack of three sterling silver rings, fastened by a vertical 18k gold rivet and engraved individually with the following Ralph Waldo Emerson quote:

What lies behind us and what lies
before us are tiny matters

which is certainly appropriate for a wedding ring. It costs $465.00 and I am in love with it.

I can’t improve on Engadget‘s headline regarding this ring box – “for nerds who want wives” – so I’m not even going to try. Costing a rather painful $198.95 (for the box!), it features an internal two-inch LCD screen (along with a clock, calender and alarm) onto which you can upload your favorite photos (of you and/or your beloved, rather than, say, Paris Hilton) via USB and display then alongside your proposal. In fact, you could even upload your proposal and let the box do *all* the work. It’s certainly swanky, but I feel if you need to make such a song and dance about the box, you might be better buying a more impressive ring.

Harry Winston is one of those names that is just synonymous with engagement rings. Even if you are unlikely to be offered a ring from here, you can still revel in a little window shopping for sparklers absolutely free! And to just compound how broke you are in real life, the website doesn’t even have prices for you to marvel at.

Keep it simple with LJ Designs’ Swarovski crystal jewellery

Swarovski must be raking in the money, and for once I think it might just be deserved as their crystal jewellery never fails to look elegant and gorgeous. This pretty set from LJ Designs is a great way to use the gems, keeping it simple with fantastic results.
