You may have noticed the absence of Monday’s eBay round up and Shoewatch this week due to the Easter long weekend so I’ve brought you the shoe installment today instead.
I occasionally make a donation to the Nine West cause of good wearable shoes with heels. The Salvator beaded dress mule in white satin, pictured here, shows plenty of character and has a comfy two inch heel. The price? A very reasonable $69.

Shoewatch is dressing down for this weeks regular Monday segment. Whilst I do realise that some wedding shoe styles aren’t really that practical for all day posing, I’m fairly certain that flip flops are not the way to go. That doesn’t stop this intrepid bridal stylista from writing about them though.
This Down Boy pair have crystals on the straps with a faux diamond ring. The slogan reads ‘What’s mine is mine and what’s his is definitely all mine – I do!’ Can’t argue with that. $45.95 from Advantage Bridal.

At a guess there are probably more than a few brides out there who don’t want to wear great towering heels on their wedding day and the rest of the honeymoon regretting it. With that in mind I went in search of bridal flats. As flats are one of the hottest footwear trends again this year there are plenty to choose from. Hurrah!
The Jane Brown satin bridal ballet on the left is all leather and fom Viva La Diva. At £230 they also come in black.

Ever thought you could only wear white at your wedding? Think again. It is your day so you can wear whatever you please and if that means going for colour then go for it in a big way by wearing blue.
There are plenty of gorgeous gowns and accessories designed especially for the non traditional bride. Feeling blue at your wedding couldn’t be further from the truth with our Get The Look guide to looking fantastic. Why else would some clever spark have made up that rhyme… something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue… ?

"My friend is getting married in Greece, and wants quite an open sandle, with just a small/kitten heal, NO straps or anything around the ankle, and toes need to be out!
She is not a very girly girl, so doesnt want loads of sparkle or anything too fancy. And if any ‘sparkle’ has to be clear, as she has Swarovski crystals on the dress!
She has seen these shoes but wants them to be in cream, and can’t find them any where!!!!
Please, Please, Please, can you help me find some, as she is threatening to wear her trainers if she cant find any!!!!" Vikki
Trainers at her own wedding! Feel the fear and don’t let her do it anyway! Shoewawa challenged me to find me some shoes for your pal…

Usually brides spend so much time picking out their dress that the footwear situation gets a tad neglected. Throw in the fact that you’ll be spending most of the day on your feet or being spun around the dance floor by your over zealous new hubby and it’s likely that those towering white stilettos – that you’ll only wear once – won’t be all that comfortable.
So what’s a girl to do? She gets herself down to Gina of course. These chic cream silk satin peep toes have a neat bow on the vamp with heels of 85mm. Priced at £280 we reckon you would carry on wearing them even after the big day.
Shoewawa ran a special bridal yay or nay last week and you still have a chance to vote before Wednesday’s big reveal.

Not so much shoe watch as boot watch this week with these Lola boots from Wedding Shoes Direct. The lace up victorian style would make a great alternative to the more traditional court. There is no need for toes to freeze or to sacrifice fashion in our not quite spring weather, not to mention the freak snow showers we’ve been experiencing over the last few days.
They come in sizes 3- 8 (inc. half sizes) and are £99.99

For anyone who’s ever heard the eternal words "I’m getting married! Will you be my bridesmaid?", you’ll be fully aware of the horrendous puff-sleeve dresses in furniture-like patterns, and more importantly, the ugly shoes that immediately spring to mind. However, you might be lucky enough to be allowed to pick the shoes yourself. If not, tap the bride-to-be on the shoulder and send her Shoewawa-wards. Here’s their rundown of the must-have shoes that are wedding compatible, suitable for brides, bridesmaids and wedding guests.
With thanks to Toni Stokes
