‘Ticket to Paradise’ invitations

By admin on June 13th, 2008

maleiah_ryan_1.jpg

These invitations are so unusual and fun – they look like actual airline tickets in a matching ticket holder sleeve. Each ticket provides your guests with all the information they need for your wedding and all the details are written in travel terminology. Fantastic and perfect for a destination wedding (although you’d have to make it clear they weren’t *actual* tickets).

They’re by Ceci New York.

By admin on May 27th, 2008

il_430xN.20144401.jpg

If you were inspired by Princess Beatrice’s hat at Peter Phillips’ recent wedding, or perhaps by the fact that the forthcoming £3million wedding of Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin has a butterfly theme, then you may well like these stick-on butterflies by stickonbutterflies (who else?) on Etsy.

Use them on invitations, placement cards, candles, inside floral arrangements or even on your cake. Coming in packs of 100, you can get them to match your wedding colours and they cost $100 per pack.

Library-themed wedding invitations

By admin on April 25th, 2008

Invite03-1.jpgWhen Southern California public librarian Scott Douglas, author of McSweeney’s Dispatches from a Public Librarian column and the memoir Quiet, Please, married a library assistant, they somewhat inevitably created library-themed wedding invitations that I can’t look at without smiling.

Did they fine guests who arrived late, I wonder…
