Wannabe Wags and celebrities we’ve found the perfect place for you to get hitched.
London’s, or to be precise, Chelsea harbour’s Wyndham Grand has just been reopened after a major revamp.

The newly decorated hotel will now give brides-to-be and their guests some gorgeous views across the harbour as well as gorgeous grand ballroom to party the night away in and some of the most luxurious suites in the city to sleep in.

And it’s good news for those who want a Big Fat wedding as the venue can accommodate up to 600 guests. Those who want something a little bit smaller shouldn’t worry however, as the space can also be divided for smaller occasions.

Prices start at £115 per head including a glass of champagne at the reception and a three course dinner with half a bottle of wine per guest. You’ll also get a free wedding planner and a free suite for the evening.

Gallery: Get the look, Alex Curran’s wedding dress

By Andrea Petrou on October 20th, 2009

Alex Curran reportedly wore a £60,000 diamond-studded off-white dress with a long train, designed by Paris-based Lebanese couturier Elie Saab.

Her bridesmaids, daughters, Lily-Ella and Lexie wore miniature versions.

We’re not sure about you, but we think this frock looks like an A-line version of fellow WAG Claudine Palmer’s dress. Who said money could buy you individuality?

Wag Wedding #8: Steven Gerrard and Alex Curran

By Andrea Petrou on October 20th, 2009

Alexx Curran and Steven Gerrard.jpgAlex and Steven Gerrard got married at Cliveden House on June 16, 2007, the same day as the weddings of England team-mates Gary Neville and Michael Carrick.

However, their wedding took place over three days. The couple and their guests indulged in spa treatments and rounds of golf at the stately home before the event, before the ceremony and reception, which took place in a marquee erected in the grounds of the stately home.

But there was nothing grand in the food, which reportedly included fish and chips, curry and trifle. The guests also gorged on a spectacular seven-tier £20,000 cake, but only once a stepladder had been found so it could be cut.

Gary Barlow however added some class to the day, playing the paino at the reception. A spectacular fireworks display also ended the evening, as a fleet of Rolls-Royces stood by to ferry guests to other hotels.

The wedding was said to cost around £500,000 to £1million but the couple got most of their money back from OK! Magazine, which paid £800,000 for photo rights.

By Andrea Petrou on October 19th, 2009

After keeping her beau warming the bench for 45 minutes, Lisa Roughead walked down the aisle in a Christian Lacroix gown with a white veil and a 10ft chiffon train.

We dread to think how much this white wonder cost, but we have to say we weren’t overly impressed with this frock, which resembles many highstreet and affordable dresses. We pick out the best ones.

Wag Wedding #7: Michael Carrick and Lisa Roughead

By Andrea Petrou on October 19th, 2009

Michael Carrick and Lisa Roughead.jpgWedding bells chimed in Wymondham, Leicestershire on June 16, 2007, when Michael Carrick snd Lisa Roughead got married.

The bridesmaids wore pink, and after a 45 minute wait Lisa arrived to be wed to her midfielder beau.

The couple, whose guests included Joe Cole and Carly Zucker, as well as Robbie Keane, then moved on to the posh Stapleford Park Country House hotel for a reception, which is said to have cost the couple around £250,000.

But like many of our wag weddings, the couple reclaimed these costs by signing over picture rights to a magazine.

Gallery: Get the look, Emma Hadfield’s wedding dress

By Andrea Petrou on October 15th, 2009

Unlike many wags, Emma chose to be plain and sophisticated on her big day.

She swapped beaded bling fora full-length ivory gown from Amanda Wakeley and added some sparkle with a glittering tiara.

We think she looks gorgeous in this straight dress with a small mermaid kick at the bottom.

By Andrea Petrou on October 15th, 2009

Gary Neville & Emma Hadfield.jpgEmma Hadfield and Gary Neville got married on June 16th 2007 at Manchester Cathedral.

The day began with guests drinking to the health of the couple, by toasting their glasses that were full of Louis Roederer 1997 vintage Cristal champagne. According to reports, this costs around £205 per bottle.

The couple also decorated the 800-year-old cathedral with a dozen 20ft white flower arrangements.

Following the service, the wedding party drove to Gary’s 17th Century moorland home, where an enormous marquee was erected on the lawn.

Gary also hired two light aircraft to stage a flypast and 15-minute display for his new bride.

Guests including Wayne and Coleen Rooney, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs were treated to dinner, which included Sausage and Mash Canapés. Interesting.

Toni Poole was said to want something different for her wedding day. She therefore went for a sequined beaded gown by couture designer Steven Hakes and teamed it up with Jimmy Choos.

The dress was said to have 12,000 beads but we are more interested in the ruffled skirt, which we think is gorgeous.

John Terry and Toni PooleJohn and Toni are Essex childhood sweethearts who grew up in neighbouring Barking and Dagenham.

She supported him financially when he was a Chelsea trainee, but she’s now reaping those rewards, especially with her WAG style wedding in 2007.

The day, which took place in June were said to cost nearly £1 million and were held at the lavish at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

The couple had a civil marriage ceremony in the Great Hall at Blenheim, home of the 11th Duke of Marlborough before moving on to the marquee in the grounds for a big reception party.

Among the guests were footballers Michael Owen, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole and Jamie Redknapp, with wife Louise.

Lionel Ritchie is reported to have sung at the reception party, which was a champagne affair and organized by party organiser Peregrine Armstrong-Jones who also oversaw the weddings of David Beckham and Elizabeth Hurley in the past. In true Wag style the couple also sold their pictures to OK.

Wag wedding #4: Robbie Keane and Claudine Palmer

By Andrea Petrou on October 13th, 2009

Robbie Keane and Model Claudine Palmer.jpgThis couple’s day was one of a hatrick of footballer and Wag weddings that took place over the same weekend of the 7 June 2008.

Robbie and Claudine were together for 6 years before finally tying the knot. They chose Ballybrack church in Dublin before going on to a marquee reception at the Ritz Carlton at Powerscourt.

The newly wed couple also chose a range of flash cars to take them to the church and then to the venue. Claudine arrived for the ceremony in a Phantom Rolls Royce and the couple left the church in a typically Wag bling stretch Limousine.

Guests including Louise Redknapp and hubby Jamie, Michael Carrick and WAG Lisa Roughead, Jermaine Jenas, Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate were among the 120 guests, who were treated to a champagne reception and live music from Chris De Burgh.

However, the wedding celebrations didn’t end there, the wag couple also treated their guests to an outdoor BBQ the day after.

By Andrea Petrou on October 12th, 2009

Victoria wore a crown and a tightly fitted ivory wedding dress designed by Vera Weng, which was said to cost an estimated £50,000.

We love the sharp edges of the bodice and box material pleats on the A-line style, which gives this traditional shape a contemporary twist.

The wedding ceremony was witnessed by 29 close friends and family but that’s where the small scale ended.

The couple’s wedding reception had an estimated 437 staff serving around 230 guests including Victoria’s Spice Girl bandmates and ex footballer Bobby Charlton.

All guests at the reception were asked to dress in black or white and the couple changed into purple outfits by Antonio Berardi.

The menu included Laurent Perrier rose champagne and sticky toffee pudding and their wedding cake was topped with a nude (except for a few ivy leaves) sculpture of the newlyweds.

Guests were also treated to an 18-piece orchestra and the party, quite literally ended with a bang as the couple opted for a fireworks display.

Carly opted for a classic figure-hugging Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, which reportedly cost £10,000. She completed the look with a floor-length veil.

We think she looks lovely in this straight lace frock, which is elegant and not too over the top.
