Modest doesn’t have to be ugly: Eternity Gowns prove it!

By Gemma on April 2nd, 2009

I stumbled across Eternity Gowns completely by chance, and I was ready to close the page when I discovered they specialised in ‘modest’ gowns, but actually, some of the styles have appeal far beyond (to quote the website) “the discriminating customer who does not choose to wear, or cannot wear, revealing styles.”

With a lot of Regency-style dresses on offer, if you dream of a Jane Austen style wedding, this site might just be your savior. Similarly, the higher-cut, more demure gowns are also suitable for stricter religious ceremonies (or just those who don’t want to flash too much cleavage on their big day). The ‘sacred’ section is the place to look for the most austere gowns, or try the regular bridal section for the styles above.

Wedding dress gallery: no more strapless! Dresses with sleeves, straps & shoulders!

By Gemma on April 1st, 2009

It’d be stating the obvious to say that the most popular silhouette at the moment involves some kind of strapless shape up top. But that does cause problems if you’re not fond of your shoulders! If you’re a bride-to-be who’s looking for a bit more coverage up top, something that can be worn with a bra or just a dress that doesn’t look like every other strapless meringue, this gallery is for you. Bridalwave brings you 12 gorgeous dresses, without a single strapless one in sight!
