I’m not usually a fan of wedding dolls, they generally give me the creeps, but I *am* a fan of Japanese Kokeshi dolls. These traditional wooden dolls (usually made from Cherry or Mizuki trees) were first made about 150 years ago as toys for the children of farmers.
I love this idea, but I mostly love the name. “Love rocks.” Heh. Works on two levels. Also makes me think of love *on* the rocks, which sends my mind down the line of using this rock to, you know, smash someone’s stuff up. Which is not good and only goes to show how fickle love can be. All that from a rock. Huh.
