While I personally wouldn’t be able to tell them apart without the help of Google, congratulations are in order to boy band McFly’s Tom Fletcher and his new wife, childhood sweetheart Giovanna Falcone.

The couple exchanged their wows in a (surprisingly) sunny London this weekend at One Marylebone; a 19^th century Grade I listed former church. We have yet to see photos of the blushing bride – probably due to them selling the rights to some magazine for a pretty penny – but according to Tom’s Twitter feed, Giovanna looked amazing.

Very on trend, the groom kept his (weeping?) fans up-do-date about his marital status and celebrations on the social network, as he sporadically updated his Twitter account over the weekend.

Present at the wedding were Tom’s band mates, Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones, BBC Radio presenter Ferne Cotton and the bride’s little brother TOWIE’s Mario Falcone. We knew that name sounded familiar!

Over one third revealed that they have already taken the plunge and booked their wedding on foreign grounds. This is a 15% increase on the average figure for previous years, meaning that as many as 80,000 Brits are shunning the British Isles in favour of sunnier (?) climes in the coming year.

One of the biggest reasons for this exodus (be it just temporarily) is seemingly the possibility to save money on the happy occasion. No Kim Kardashian’s in Britain then… It really comes as no surprise as the average cost of a UK wedding has toppled over the £18,500 mark and the CoE increasing their rates which will see 40% added to the cost of church wedding from January 2013.

A Mediterranean beach wedding sounds good right about now…

Alfred Angelo bought the rights to Bella's dress desgn giving Twilight wannabes a cheaper alternative to Bella's dress.

Of course you can hire or create your own, but for special occasions such as weddings there’s nothing like beautiful hand-made millinery. One that can provide that ‘cherry on top’ for your wedding is award winning millinery house Katherine Elizabeth Millinery.

Now we’re not talking about getting your guests to don the pale masks, we’re thinking more of the serene woodland theme, with a few Twilight touches to give a nod to the book.

The wedding scene in the film was itself is beautiful, with a foliage-heavy wedding arch complete with white wisteria in a wooded paradise. Thankfully there are a number of places that could be used for the ceremony across England.

Check out the National Heritage site to get a better idea of suitable gardens and woodland in your area. Add the arch as well as large potted plants at each pew to really get the look.

We know the most important part of any brides day, aside from the groom, is of course the dress.

And if you’re having a Twilight theme wedding then this will be even more important. As you’ll already know, Bella’s crepe satin dress with a French Chantilly lace-embellished back, was made by esteemed designer Carolina Herrera.

Although this is available in the designer’s spring collection, it is rumoured to set you back more than a couple of thousand.

Thankfully Alfred Angelo has come to the rescue buying the rights for the design and turning it into something much more affordable.

Twilight Bridal by Alfred Angelo, is available in a number of sizes, from 6-34W, and has over 100 covered buttons down the back and is made of lace and satin and retails at £549.

Other Twilight-inspired touches can include the blue and white crystal heirloom-style hairpiece Bella wears in her hair- a replica can be bought at Amazon, as well as a long cathedral style veil.

When it comes to shoes, you may however want to find a cheaper alternative to Bella’s Manolo Blahnik’s which were custom made and embellished with a sparkly crystal vine applique.

The pleasure of owning such a pair will set you back around $1295.
