Kelly Brooke bridalwear.jpg

We're having a little bit of a celebrity and bridal cross over today at Bridalwave. First Mischa paraded around in dresses for Rosa Clara and now Kelly Brook is on the case.

However, this time it's for those all important bridal undies.

The model and TV presenter, who was announced as the face of Ultimo a while back has also been given the task of modelling the brand's new bridal range, which includes sexy corsets complete with suspenders ad matching white knickers and bras.

Take a look at the new products and tell us what you think, and don't let your other half see these either. After all anything to do with him seeing your atire before the big day is bad luck, well that's the excuse we're using anyway.

Give your groom a wedding night to remember

fred and ginger.jpgGive your groom a wedding night to remember with this gorgeous range of vintage inspired underwear by Fred & Ginger.

Designed by Victoria Holt, this collection is not for the blushing bride. It's flirty, sexy and glamorous, and includes French knickers, corsets, boleros, garters, camisoles, balconette bras and nighties, all with a Fifties boutique vibe.

The collection also uses French silk satins, crinkle chiffons, Chantilly lace and Swarovski crystals, a perfect ensemble to get your groom's heart racing on your wedding night.

bridal-lingerie-2.jpgIf anything can make you feel more fabulous than a well-fitted frock (and I'm hoping you'll have got that bit nailed by the big day!) it's knowing that the whole ensemble is supported by top-notch underwear. A great bra, that's reliable but not too firm, knickers that don't pinch and suspenders for extra sex-appeal can really make your outfit go with a bang - and I haven't even got to the bit about the wedding night yet...

I don't usually talk about my unmentionables on the internet, but having sampled quite a few brands in my time the one that still gets me excited is Buttress and Snatch. Made in the East End of London by 'honest, hardworking girls' the quality of this range is second-to-none, and the designs are ever so pretty. Not remotely cheap, they make great presents or occasionwear, and will stay with you for years. I won't say how long I've had my B&S suspender belt, but it's outlived most of the faded froth in my knicker draw by a considerable margin!

Visit the site for some seriously lovely lingerie.

bridal-lingerie.jpgGetting married is a great opportunity to buy some fabulous lingerie, and it's also important to make sure you get this aspect of your outfit just right, as you may need specialist undies to fit under your dress - particularly if it's unusually cut.

With this in mind, now is the perfect time to start ordering your undergarments, as I've spotted some super duper deals on lingerie that's ideal for brides.

Bridal corset cropped.jpgOoh la la! This is the ultimate bridal corset from...Bridal Corsets. It has a real vintage feel with the heavyweight gobelin fabric (a kind of silk/wool mix brocade) - all the better to hold you in with - and a pretty lace trim. The best part is the traditional style lacing will take 10cm off your waist! Perfect for under the dress or the wedding night. *wink*
Priced £295.

fairygothmother-kimono.jpgFor most couples, the honeymoon is a long-awaited oasis of relaxation and lounging, involving as much staying in as possible, preferably in the holiday home of your dreams! But we all know there's a fine line between lounging and lazing, so if you want to avoid starting off your married life in your old pyjamas, now is the time to invest in some sexy and stylish loungewear.

Fairygothmother doesn't sell anything that isn't stylish or sexy, so it's no surprise that it does a good line in boudouir accessories. What is impressive is that it's selling off many of these items at great prices. This kimono dressing gown, for example, is £37 reduced from £75, and would make ideal honeymoon wear.

CocodeMer.jpgThis new lingerie set from Coco de Mer definitely puts the sauce in saucy! They've taken traditional Toile de Jouy scenes (think pastoral scenes of shepardesses) and given it a naughty twist by having characters getting a little more frisky. It's probably make a fun honeymoon set but I think the point of it might be rather lost on your bridegroom unless he has got very keen eyes.

The set comprises a silk georgette classic bra with full briefs trimmed with satin bows. Visit Coco de Mer here (please note - not work safe!)

Carnival long basque 2.jpgIf you're lucky enough to be tall and leggy (grrr, I'm so jealous!) you might find it hard to source a bridal basque that fits properly. Which is why I found this lovely "Carnival" strapless satin basque, extra long and fully boned for support and shaping. It comes in white or ivory with removable suspenders and matching knickers or thong.

"Carnival" long bridal basque set, £92 from Sophie & Grace.

rawsilk.sophia.ivory.jpgCorsetry has been around for centuries, and while they have something of a reputation for discomfort, many are far from painful. Modern corsets, when well made and properly fitting, are very comfortable indeed, and offer much needed security for strapless wedding gown styles.

What Katie Did make their corsets using vintage techniques, to offer not only great looks, but also excellent quality. This Sophia raw silk corset is a great bridal option. The low line of the bust means it's ideal for creating an attractive cleavage for even the most difficult of necklines. Get yours from La Magia for £140.

_5438297.jpgI've never worn a thong. I never plan to wear a thong. I can't imagine that it's a comfortable item to wear on your wedding day, but I do know that some people swear by them and so it's in that spirit that I share this lace thong by Hanky Panky. And you know it's a *wedding* thong, because crystals spell 'I Do' on the waistband (do thongs have waistbands?). Okay then.

89.jpgVamped up lingerie can often tread too fine a line between sexy and sleazy. Avoiding the trash is simple for brides, though, with just a little bit of investment and some retro flavour.

1950s inspired shapewear has all the glamour, and added silhouette enhancing powers a girl could want. If you're after the style, but aren't up for a full on corset, waspies are a great alternative. Especially perfect for those who aren't textbook proportioned (like, well, almost all of us!)... just don't forget the bra during the day! This Hope waspie is available from Insinuate lingerie for £40. Click the picture for a closer look.

It's no secret by now that I absolutely adore sumptuous bridal lingerie. Capturing class and sexiness in one garment, and making it practical too, is no mean feat. Thankfully, the designers at Boudiche know exactly what a bride needs, and they've got that check-list down pat.

Their new bridal lingerie designs all have their plus points, from basques and corsets, frilly knickers and stockings, to bras of all shapes and sizes. Their boutique also runs a 'by Appointment' service for brides to be, to find your perfect product and fit. Find out more about the collections from the website.

101sc55050a.jpgI was sent a leaflet of the Simply Yours Gok Wan range and I loved it all (well there was one basque with no bra that was a bit odd). Unfortunately, the nice pictures on the website are of the darker colours while the "natural" items aren't really shown off, but you get the idea: glamorous, sexy and luxurious undercrackers, perfect for your wedding day.

CE_JustMarriedChiffon_l.jpgBridal lingerie doesn't always have to just be sexy and practical, it can also be fun too. If you're looking for some cute frillies to team with a corset, or just for your honeymoon, Ell & Cee's bridal ruffle knickers are a must.

Emblazoned with slogans like The Mrs and Just Married, they avoid being trashy with their vintage inspired looks. I love the shape of the full pant and think they're flirty and just the relaxed, humorous touch a wedding night calls for. They're available from Glamourous Amourous online.
